Bill announced for final day of festival

by Andy Gray

The line-up for the third and final day of Kings Hill’s inaugural music festival was announced this morning.

Eighties legends ABC and the world’s best-known Abba tribute band, Bjorn Again (pictured) will headline Music on the Hill’s Family Summer Sunday.

The bill is boosted by former X-Factor finalist Ben Mills, who will be fronting his Rod Stewart revival band, Simply Rod.

Up and coming stars, Some Velvet Morning, will also be appearing to coincide with the release of their debut album, My Major Company UK.

The KM is a media partner of Music on the Hill which starts on Friday June 24 and takes place at a specially-built arena at Tower View Fields.

The festival is in aid of two charities, Demelza Hospice Care for Children and The Children’s Development Trust. Sarah Marsh, Demelza events co-ordinator, said: "We’ve put a lot of thought into making our Sunday event an opportunity for a family outing – from the range of bands playing, with sing-along hits to appearances by stars of hit TV shows.

"Work is still ongoing and we hope to be able to announce a few more celebrity appearances, as the momentum gathers."

Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins headlines the opening night, while Saturday’s main act is blockbuster boy band McFly.
