Police searching for a missing Maidstone man have tonight found a body.

A hunt had been underway for Billy Wood, 34, who had been reported missing on Wednesday.

Kent Police attended a location near Buckland Hill, Maidstone at 8.50pm where the body of a man was located. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, however the family of Mr Wood have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
