Kent County Council by-election in Maidstone Central following death of Dan Daley

A by-election is set to take place next week to replace veteran Liberal Democrat county councillor Dan Daley.

There are six candidates contesting the Maidstone Central division seat on Kent County Council.

A list of polling stations, open from 7am until 10am, has been published and listed below.

Cllr Daley served as a county member since 2001 until his death, aged 90, in March.

He had also been a town mayor and leader of the borough council for seven years, representing Allington from 1990 until 2022.

The candidates are :

David Collier (Labour)

Stanley Forecast (Conservative)

Graham Jarvis (Reform UK)

Stuart Jeffery (Green Party)

Yolande Ann Kenward (Independent)

Chris Passmore (Liberal Democrat)

Polling stations can be found at Allington Community Association, St Nicholas Church Hall, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in London Road, Maidstone, Grange Moor Hotel, Fant Hall, Beechwood Community Hall, Barming Village Hall, St Andrews Church Hall, The Maidstone Baptist Church, Bob Prowse Health Club and St Philip‘s Church Hall.
