Two men charged after cannabis grow rooms found behind fake wall in Maidstone

Two men are to appear in court today after police found nearly 140 cannabis plants behind a fake wall.

During a raid at a house in Maidstone officers discovered rooms on three floors modified with ventilation, lighting and heating equipment for cannabis cultivation.

The search, carried out on Wednesday, resulted in 137 cannabis plants being seized - many of which were fully grown.

Police arrested 29-year-old Oligert Maliqas, of Bower Lane in Maidstone, and 26-year-old Klevis Paskos, of no fixed address, and both were charged with being concerned in the production of a Class B drug.

They are due to stand before Magistrates in Medway later today.
