DJ equipment stolen from drive

A DJ was left without key bits of equipment after thieves broke into his van and stole £4,000 worth of high tech machinery.

Tony Davies, who regularly DJs in JPs Bar in Middle Row, left his van on his Willington Street drive at 1.30am on Monday, June 22.

When he went to check the van at 6.30am thieves had taken out the back window and stolen disco equipment including mackie active speakers, a lap top computer and five flight cases containing mixing desks and other bits.

Mr Davies was forced to spend hours on the internet and shell out more than £2,000 just to get himself up and running again in time for DJing commitments he had several days later.

Mr Davies is now desperate to get his equipment back and urges anyone with any information to call the police.

If you have any information call police in Maidstone on 01622 690055 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
