The hotly anticipated line-up of bands playing at Radio 1's Big Weekend will be revealed on Monday.

On today's breakfast show, Chris Moyles said he had seen the line-up but wasn't giving anything away as to which names were on it.

Gossip pages have already started the guessing game for who will headline the festival, which will be held in Maidstone's Mote Park on Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11.

But one national paper's claim that Madonna is heading to the County Town have been denied, and there are no hints as to the real identity of the stars lined up for the event.

The BBC has now confirmed that the first details of the Big Weekend will be given out by Chris Moyles on his breakfast show on Monday, April 21.

Radio 1 DJs will then give out more details about confirmed acts and how to register for free tickets throughout the day.

Updates will also be available on the BBC website and on Radio 1's Bebo, Facebook, and MySpace pages.

Over 470,000 people applied for tickets last year. A total of 30,000 tickets are available.

Highlights of last year's festival are available all this week on BBC television channels by pressing the red button.

Details of the Big Weekend line-up will also be available here on Monday.
