POLICE have released an e-fit and are appealing for information after a young woman was robbed in the street.

The 21-year-old victim was walking in Whitmore Street, Maidstone, when she was approached by a man who grabbed her and forced a ring off her finger. He then ran off.

The offender is described as a white man, with a tanned or olive complexion, with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark, long sleeved T-shirt and dark trousers.

Maidstone and Malling Police spokeswoman Ginna Pollero said: "The victim was not injured in the incident which happened on November 16 at around 6.30pm.

"We would like to hear from anyone with information about the incident and anyone who recognises the e-fit."
