Friends of a Polish musician have organised two gigs to raise money for his funeral.
Robert “Furi” Furman, 34, who died after falling from the Dartford Crossing on November 20, was the lead guitarist in the band, Lynchpin.
The father of two had many friends among the Polish community in Maidstone who have got together to stage the gigs to help his family pay for his funeral and other immediate needs.
One will be held at the Beacon Court Tavern in Gillingham tomorrow (Friday) and the second will be on Sunday at the Garage in London between 2pm and 11pm, featuring 12 bands.
Friend Milena Slubowska, said: “He was an incredible person, a popular person and had a lot of friends in the Polish community in Maidstone.
“He was very creative and always taking part in charity concerts. We had been trying to arrange a gig in Maidstone with the band before he died.
“We are still shocked, but most importantly we have to help his wife and two young sons in their sadness and struggle.
“We are raising funds for the funeral as well as for their basic needs until their financial situation gets sorted.”
