If you have a burning ambition to sing and dance alongside some famous faces, this weekend could be your big break.

Blue Genie Entertainment, which is staging this year's Christmas pantomime at the Hazlitt, Maidstone is holding open auditions on Sunday for eight to 15-year-olds.

The panto Aladdin stars Holby City's Jeremy Edwards, Emmerdale's Sapphire Elia and CBeebies' Gary Damer.

Auditions for eight to 10-year-olds are at 10.30am; 11 to 13-year-olds, 12.30pm: 14 and 15-year-olds, 2.30pm.

Producer Gary Telfer said: "We are looking for children with dance experience and strong jazz technique. They'll need to be available to rehearse every Sunday in November as well as for the pantomime itself."

There will be a total of 85 performances of Aladdin.
