There were long delays in Maidstone this evening after a crash on the bridge system.

One lane on the approach to Maidstone Bridge was blocked after the three-vehicle collision at around 5.25pm on the A229 Bishops Way, with congestion back as far as Loose Road and Sutton Road.

Motorists were also experiencing slow moving traffic on the A249 Wat Tyler Way heading towards Knightrider Street and Lower Stone Street due to the crash.

No injuries have been reported.
