KentOnline cash competition sees Maidstone mum win £1,000

A mum-of-two is shocked to have scooped £1,000 in cash with KentOnline's prize draw.

Kelly Shoebridge, from Maidstone , had been on furlough and was worried she would not be able to buy her children Christmas presents.

"I couldn’t believe it had actually happened," said the 38-year-old.

"I had been on furlough, I wasn’t making money and it’s been a really tough six months. I’ve been scared about Christmas and how I’m going to buy my children presents."

Kelly said she entered the competition after hearing about it on kmfm because she was thinking about how she could help her situation.

"It is so exciting," she added. "It has made such a difference to my family.

"I’m not usually someone to take part in competitions, so after this experience I will definitely take part more often."
