Maidstone boss Peter Nott will oversee a "play for your place" game at Maplesden Noakes School as several trialists attempt to win a spot in his first-team squad.

Nott, pictured, will include up to half a dozen trialists and a further half dozen promising reserve players, alongside his squad, in an inter-squad game on the school’s 3G pitch on Saturday.

Among those vying for a place in the squad are ex-Tonbridge defender Marc Cumberbatch, former Ashford Town striker Joe Fuller, forward Aaron Campbell and Jonathan Coleman, who has moved to the area after playing for Ashford Town (Middx) last season.

Ex-Charlton academy and Republic of Ireland youth international keeper Harry Lee is also hoping to win a spot.

Nott also confirmed that young Welling strikers Jake Hobbs and Adam Marsh will take part.

He said: "The game is a good chance for us to see if the trialists are up to the standard we are looking for and also gives the new signings the chance to get to know their new team-mates."
