Two men and a woman from Tunbridge Wells have been charged after two Asian men were injured in an alleged racist attack in the town.

Matthew Liles, 24, of Camden Road; Jamie Waldock, 21, of Andrew Road, and 19-year-old Shannon Boughton, of Thomas Street, were arrested yesterday.

The trio are accused of two charges of racially-aggravated assault in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

They have been bailed to appear before Sevenoaks magistrates on Wednesday, February 6.

The two alleged victims - aged 25 and 21, and both from Tunbridge Wells - were walking along Camden Road in the town when they were said to have been targeted after being racially abused.

One man was knocked unconscious and the other was kicked and punched.
