Experts predict slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms will pass across the south of England from midday until around 9pm.

They warn there is a chance homes and businesses could be flooded and say fast-flowing or deep floodwater could pose a danger to life

If flooding does occur there could be delays or cancellations to train and bus services, with the additional risk of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.

Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions on the county's roads.

The warning of rain comes as much of the south east basks under blue skies, with temperatures reaching 21C in parts of Kent today.
