A21 motorbike crash near Kilndown sees two people airlifted to hospital

Two people in their 60s have been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition following a nasty motorbike crash.

The man and woman had been travelling together on the A21 near Kilndown when the collision happened.

No other vehicles were involved.

Police confirmed the pair had been taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.

The crash happened at about 3.10pm yesterday (Sunday, June 4) close to the junction with Rosemary Lane.

A spokesman added: “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

At the time, drivers were held along the A21 between Kilndown Road and the B2079 Lady Oak Lane.

The road was closed until just after 8pm last night.

It was reported there was a high level of congestion to B2079 Lady Oak Lane as people tried to avoid the closure.

South East Coast Ambulance has also been contacted for comment.
