Air ambulance called after cyclist falls from bike in Luton High Street near Chatham

A teenager was flown to a London hospital after falling from his bike.

Police and paramedics were called to Luton High Street near Chatham at 5.45pm.

The air ambulance was also called and flew the male to Kings College Hospital with potential injuries to his pelvic area.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "Ambulance crews in an ambulance and a car attended the scene and were joined at the scene by the air ambulance.

"The male patient was assessed and treated at the scene before being airlifted to Kings College Hospital with injuries including potential pelvic injuries."

Witnesses reporting seeing police forensic teams, other police officers and paramedics near a shop around 7pm.

A shop at the site was said to have been taped off.
