Children's television presenter Phil Gallagher, also known as Mr Maker, will be making a guest appearance at the Medway Police Station open day on Sunday, September 13.

The Cbeebies favourite will be at the opening of the event and will be meeting and greeting children between 10.30-11.30am.

The announcement was made at a promotional event at ASDA supermarket, Chatham, where event organiser Sgt Michelle Burgess was joined by doggy detective DI Paw and his foe Foxy the Burglar.

Sgt Burgess said: ‘As a result of the success of the previous two open days and the positive feedback we received, we have organised a similar event for this year.

"Entry to the station and many of the exhibits will be free of charge and the event promises to offer a fun day out for the whole family. There are a wealth of activities on offer for all ages’.

The event will officially open at 10.30am and doors will stay open until 4.30pm.

There is no parking at the police station; however limited free parking is available at the Dock Yard with a free shuttle bus in operation taking people to and from the police station.

People who require disabled parking are advised to visit the Kent Police website, http://www.kent.police.uk/, for more information.
