Cocaine and cash seizure in Gillingham sees Amelia Waters and Jamie Cass charged

Hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of cocaine and cash have been seized by serious crime detectives after a vehicle was stopped.

Boyfriend and girlfriend Amelia Waters, 29, and Jamie Cass, 32, were arrested following the find on Friday night in James Street, Gillingham.

Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate officers recovered £50,000 and five kilograms of the class A, with a likely street value of more than £500,000.

Waters, of Featherby Road, and Cass, of Woodlands Road, appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court this morning charged with possession of criminal property and conspiracy to supply cocaine.

They weren't asked to enter a plea and were remanded in custody until Monday, March 25, when they are set to appear at Maidstone Crown Court.
