Drug dealer jailed for selling heroin in Chatham

A drug dealer had been jailed after admitting selling heroin to addicts in Medway.

Steven Miskin was caught by police dealing class A drugs in Chatham town centre.

The 33-year-old, of no fixed address, was jailed for three years and 10 months at Maidstone Crown Court.

He was found with 11 wraps of heroin when officers stopped and searched him.

Miskin has a history of theft and drug related offences.

DC Philip Pead said: "Thanks to the pro-active work of our teams in Chatham town centre we have been able to take a known drug dealer off of the streets of Medway.

"Drugs will not be tolerated in the Towns and this sentence highlights the fact the courts also take these offences extremely seriously.

"If you suspect someone of dealing drugs then please contact Kent Police. We have a dedicated phone line for people to call and you can leave a message anonymously if you wish."
