Five lucky people who arrived at the eatery first were treated to a free complimentary breakfast as a thanks from staff.

The cafe, which has the highest possible food hygiene rating, posted online: "We have cleaned everywhere, cut up our mushrooms, greased our new grills and filled our new fryers.

"The Ex-Eastenders and recent sitcom The Tab Theory Actor Ricky Groves was around for a photo opportunity and meet and greet to have a chat and cuppa.

"Also a massive thank you to local MP Kelly Tolhurst for attending the cafe today to assist in opening!

"We love local support. It’s hard for businesses at the moment and it’s very important to ensure locals 'use us before they lose us'.

"We shop locally and source everything from local businesses and use local suppliers and trades! Thanks once again for the support people have shown today!"

After canvassing in Strood Kelly Tolhurst said she had the pleasure of "refuelling at Rosie Lee's Cafe"."

She said: "It was great to meet with Simon from Cherrywood Productions Videographer & Photographer, who were doing some filming, and ex-Eastenders actor Ricky Groves who were supporting Rosie Lee’s re-opening.

"The food looked amazing and if you are in Stood it’s a must visit if you are looking for a spectacular breakfast.

"Well done to all the team at Rosie Lee’s Cafe and I wish you all the success with your newly refurbished cafe."
