Facebook caveman blunder for Medway Labour Party members

A Labour Party meeting being broadcast on Facebook Live descended into farce when somebody accidentally added a caveman filter.

The blunder saw members of the Medway branch appearing in front of a prehistoric backdrop for a large section of the meeting.

At one point, an oblivious Cllr Tris Osborne had a black caveman wig sitting on top of his head.

It is thought that whoever was filming the meeting had previously downloaded an app promoting the movie Early Man - and accidentally activated it during the broadcast.

The unusual addition was spotted by social media expert Ed Jennings, who tweeted: "So it seems @MedwayLabour accidentally broadcast part of their Facebook Live stream yesterday with a caveman filter on - doing this to poor Tris Osborne."

But organisers took the situation in good spirits, with Medway's official Labour Twitter account replying: "At least people are watching it right? Maybe we should do this more often!"

Cllr Osborne also saw the funny side, saying simply: "Another day in local government..."
