Man charged after series of attacks in Medway and north Kent

A man has been charged with a number of offences after nine people were attacked across part of the county.

Kifle Mebrahtu, 26, is accused of carrying out a series of attacks in Medway and north Kent between January 16 and March 7.

Mebrahtu, of no fixed address, was charged with four counts of wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, assault causing actual bodily harm, three counts of assaulting an emergency worker, common assault, and attempting to cause criminal damage.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday for the offences.

He remains in custody and is due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Thursday 15 June.
