Man has neck cut in home assault in Wickham Street, Rochester

A man has been taken to hospital after having his neck slashed.

The suspected assault took place in Wickham Street, Rochester at around 4.30pm yesterday.

A man in his 40s suffered a cut to his neck after it was reported one or two men entered the property.

He received hospital treatment before being discharged.

Officers are appealing to anyone with any information to come forward regarding the serious assault.

Detective Constable Michael Nolan, said: “An investigation is underway into the circumstances of the incident and enquiries have been completed by officers in the area.

“We are now urging witnesses or anybody with information to call our appeal line.”

Local residents with private CCTV and motorists with dashcam who were in the Wickham Street area at the time, are also asked to check for footage that may assist.
