Man punched in face during Chatham assault

A man was punched in the face during an assault in Chatham at the weekend.

The 35-year-old was attacked just after 2am on Saturday, May 22 in Best Street.

He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital but did not have any injuries.

Police are appealing for information about the incident.

Detective Constable Perry Wraight said: "We believe that there may have been other people in the vicinity when the assault took place who may be able to provide us with further information."
