Medway NHS postpones meetings as snow is forecast

Two meetings planned by NHS Medway this week have been postponed because of the threat of snow.

They were due to take place today (Tuesday) at Rainham Mark Social Club, in London Road, Rainham, and on Thursday at the Corn Exchange, Northgate, Rochester.

But NHS Medway has put them off until February after the Met office warned snow was on the way.

The meetings are for people to share their experiences of the NHS and have an input into plans for local services.

Chief executive Marion Dinwoodie said: “We do not want to risk anyone injuring themselves as they struggle to get to or from our meetings."

“We are booking new dates in February when we hope the weather will be more favourable.”

Other meetings are still due to take place on January 11, at Elaine Primary School, Elaine Avenue, Strood, January 18 at Hoo Village Institute, and on January 26 at the Brook Theatre, Chatham from 6pm-8pm.
