Two neighbours scooped a windfall on the People's Postcode Lottery.

The residents of Longford Close in Rainham won £1,000 each.

The winners were announced on Tuesday, April 21.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: “I’m so happy for our winners today, what a lovely surprise for them. I hope they enjoy their winnings.”

The draw was promoted by the Wildlife Trusts, which look after nature reserves and run visitor and education centres across the country.

The charity has benefited from over £12.6 million in funding from the People's Postcode Lottery.
