Two people were rescued by emergency crews after being stranded on Marshland.

A man in his 40s and woman in her 30s are thought to have walked out at low water at Copperhouse Marsh, near Rainham, before being cut off by the tide.

The RNLI lifeboat was launched just after 7.50pm Tuesday, September 15 and the Inshore lifeboat arrived shortly before 8.20pm.

The pair were picked up and landed at Gillingham Marina Pontoon where they were met by a waiting coastguard.
