Rochester man attacked

A Rochester man is in hospital after suffering a head injury in an attack in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 21-year-old, who has not been named, was allegedly assaulted at the top of Gabriel’s Hill in Maidstone.

Police say a confrontation occurred between a group of men at around 4am and shortly afterwards, officers arrested three men on suspicion of assault.

The trio, who are from the Tunbridge Wells area, are all 22 years of age.

One has been give a caution for assault and the other two have been bailed until January 15 .

A spokesman for Kent Police, said: “He was taken to Maidstone Hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.”
