Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan thanks 'thousands' of fans who offered his family a place to stay this Christmas

Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has thanked his fans for offering him, his wife Ola and daughter Ella a place to stay in the run-up to Christmas.

It comes after the Medway dancer found himself "homeless" following an unpleasant encounter with a "very rude" landlord.

The couple had found themselves "homeless" after meeting with a "very rude" potential landlord.

This week, the 44-year-old dad shared his experience on Instagram after meeting up with a potential landlord, and how the family was now desperate to find a home in the run-up to Christmas before they move into their new property next year.

He wrote: "We are currently in the process of moving and need to move into rented accommodation for about six months. We found a rental property we liked and went this morning to meet the landlord.

"I have never been spoken to so rudely! Especially in front of Ola and Ella. It was almost like it was a setup. I hope no-one out there has experienced this with a landlord. He spoke down to us from the minute I shook his hand.

"Currently homeless. Anyone want to take Ola, Ella and myself for Christmas?"

The couple put their five-bedroom Sevenoaks mansion up for sale for £2.5m earlier this year.

James has now given an update to his Instagram followers, thanking the "thousands" of fans who offered him and his family a place to stay following the stressful incident.

He confirmed the family-of-three found somewhere to live while they wait to move officially into their new home.

In an Instagram story, James said: "Hi guys, I hope you're well. I haven't been on here for a little while. As many of you are aware, we are currently trying to move home.

"We didn't have anywhere to go because the rental property we were going to move into didn't work out for several reasons. We have now finally found somewhere else.

"But I wanted to come on here just to say thank you so much. I must have had thousands upon thousands of messages of amazing people out there offering their help offering for us to come and live with them from Ireland, Scotland everywhere, which is really, really nice.

"And I just wanted to come on here to say thank you very much.

"There were even the odd guys saying that they were happy to take Ola but unfortunately didn't have space for myself and Ella," he joked.
