Gillingham Women to play Aylesford Ladies in the Kent Women's Cup final

Gillingham Women are through to the final of the Kent Cup.

Watched by a crowd of 317 at Chatham’s Bauvil Stadium, the Gills beat Millwall Lionesses 1-0 on Sunday to put themselves into the final.

Breon Grant scored the only goal of the game after 19 minutes in what was Dan Logue’s first game as manager.

They will play Aylesford Ladies in the final following their 5-3 semi-final win over Dartford.

Their manager James Fuller tweeted: “Buzzing to manage a team that's made it to the Kent FA Women's Cup Final.

“The players gave me and the club absolutely everything today and deserve their place in the final.”

Gillingham beat Dartford 3-0 to win last year’s final.

*Forward Valentine Pursey has left Gillingham Women to sign for Championship side Lewes. She was with the club for a couple of months after returning from university in the US.
