Raise money for your local KM paper’s charity of the year at the KM Assault Course Challenge next Sunday.

The fundraising challenge takes place at Betteshanger Park on May 5.

Participants can raise money for charities of their choice, but the event provides the perfect opportunity to generate much-needed cash for good causes selected by KM Group editors providing vital support and services to young people, and individuals and families affected by crime, life-limiting illness, isolation and mental illness.

The KM charities of the year include Victim Support, the Stroke Association, Royal British Legion Industries, Sheppey Sea Cadets, the RNLI and child-cancer charity Eva’s Angels.

The course comprises 19 obstacles, including tunnels, balance beams, the rope walk, water jumps and the tyre wall, meaning teams will have to work together and communicate effectively to succeed.

The event is supported by Betteshanger Park, Specsavers, personal fitness specialists MY/PT, White’s Transport and Eurostar, and the money raised will be split 70/30 between participants' good causes and the KM Charity Team’s literacy and road-safety services for children.
