Man arrested after white Porsche 911 crashes into telegraph pole on the A227 Borough Green Road

A man has been arrested after a white Porsche 911 crashed into a telegraph pole after failing to stop for police.

The iconic German sports car was spotted by a patrol on the A25 near Borough Green yesterday at 11.25pm and officers indicated for it to pull over.

However the vehicle continued on to the A227 Borough Green Road - where it collided with the pole at the side of the road.

An ambulance and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident, where a man was treated for a head injury and then taken to hospital.

He was also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop for a police officer.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the Porsche prior to or at the time of the crash, including those who may have dashcam footage, to come forward.
