Last chance to have your say

Anyone wishing to comment on the proposed Sheerness Wind Farm has until this Wednesday to do so.

Peel Wind Power has submitted an application to Swale Borough Council for four 125m wind turbines to be constructed on the Lappel Bank along the edge of a strip of land at the docks.

Queenborough Town Council has openly voiced its concern at the proposal, with fears about noise pollution and health.

On Wednesday, the town council held a public meeting attended by residents so they could ask questions and find out more about the scheme.

If you would like to see the application, it can viewed at www.ukplanning.com/swale.

To comment to Swale Borough Council about the proposal, write to Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne, and address your letter to the planning department. You must also quote the reference SW/08/0896
