The works are due to be complete by 6am on Monday, February 18, depending on the weather.

A diversion will be put in place via the A229 Blue Bell Hill, M20 and M2.

The Maidstone-bound stretch of the same road has been shut overnight since Monday, January 14, for the same reason. That work is set to continue until Friday.

Resurfacing is also due to shut part of the M2 from tonight for four nights between 8pm and 6am.

The motorway will close London-bound between Junction 7 for Brenley Corner and Junction 5 for Sittingbourne and Maidstone.

A diversion will take drivers via the A2, A20 and M20.
