People have until tomorrow to submit their nominations for the Volunteer Swale Awards.

All those shortlisted will be invited to attend a ceremony at the Coniston Hotel in London Road, Sittingbourne, in March when the winners will be announced.

There are seven categories: young volunteer of the year; adult volunteer of the year; volunteering contribution to the environment; fundraising; volunteering contribution to sport; volunteer team of the year and volunteering contribution to creativity, culture or heritage.

One person will also be selected as the winner for the outstanding achievement award.

The event has been organised by Swale council and is sponsored by The KM Group, AmicusHorizon, Amu Acoustic, Children and Families, Coniston Hotel, Family Homes, McCabe Ford Williams, Reardon Properties, Talking Fly and Sears Business Centre.
