FORMER Kent cricketer, Martin McCague is to host a charity cricket match next month in support of the Demelza House Childrens' Hospice in Sittingbourne.

The ex-Kent and England strike bowler will skipper his own side against an Old England XI in a match to be played at the Gore Court ground on Sunday, July 15 from 1pm.

Admission for the game is free, but there will be a raffle and auction to help raise funds.

Former Kent players Steve Marsh, Alan Igglesden and Dean Headley seem certain to pit their wits against a McCague celebrity side that may yet include Olympic legend Sir Steven Redgrave, tennis player Tim Henman and comedian Norman Pace.
