Pictures of man released by police after shop worker attacked in Broadstairs High Street

Images of a man have been released after a shop worker was verbally abused and then attacked.

Police launched the appeal following the incident in Broadstairs High Street.

The victim had "derogatory language" used towards them before they were attacked.

Officers investigating the incident have now issued images of a man they want to speak to as he may have information that could help the investigation.

A spokesman for the force said: "It was reported that at midday on Friday, December 2 a member of staff in a shop in the High Street reported having derogatory language used towards them before they were assaulted by a person."
