Portable cabin at former Laleham Gap school, Cliftonville, destroyed by fire.

Fire destroyed a disused portable cabin on a former school grounds.

It happened on the land of the ex-Laleham Gap special school in Cliftonville at about 1.45am today (Tuesday).

Three fire engines, two from the Margate station and one from the Ramsgate one, were called to the incident.

Firefighters were at the scene for about two hours.

The cause of the blaze has not yet been confirmed.
