Teen arrested after two injured in Margate train station brawl

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after two people were injured in a brawl at a train station.

Police and paramedics rushed to Margate station at about 5.40pm yesterday, after reports of a fight involving a large group of people.

Two people received medical treatment at the scene.

Neither are thought to have suffered life-changing or life-threatening injuries.

British Transport Police have this morning confirmed that a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault, violent disorder, and possession of an offensive weapon.

A spokesman said: "He was taken to custody for questioning and released on conditional bail.

"Inquiries into this incident are ongoing."
