Growing fears for safety of missing elderly man

Kent Police is growing increasingly concerned as the search for missing elderly man David Mirams continues.

Mr Mirams, 76, of Dane Road, went out for a walk on Thursday afternoon but did not return.

He was last seen at 2pm in a field by Old Road in Sarre, near Birchington. He told his wife he would walk home to Dane Road but has not been seen since.

People in the Sarre and Birchington areas are urged to look out for him and check gardens, alleyways, and outbuildings.

Motorists are asked to contact Kent Police if they noticed Mr Mirams walking along the pavement.

As efforts continue to find him, officers say they are growing increasingly concerned for this welfare.

Mr Mirams is white, 6ft, slim and was wearing a dark grey Berghaus jacket, blue jeans and walking shoes when he went out.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to contact Kent Police on 101 quoting incident number 10-1139.
