Woman treated by paramedics after laundry room fire in Castle Field, Tonbridge

A woman has been treated by paramedics following a laundry room fire.

Two engines were sent to a home in Castle Field, Tonbridge, at around 9.55am this morning.

Crews tackled a fire in the laundry room before leaving the scene just over an hour later.

A fire service spokesman said: "Crews wearing breathing apparatus put out the fire and used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

"One female casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service."
