PAUL Dainty has agreed to stay on as chairman of Tonbridge Angels until the club is able to resolve its financial problems.
Last week the club made a public appeal for help after being let down by a potential sponsor. They have received £3,500 in pledges from supporters, but estimate they will need to find £20,000 to cover costs before the start of the 2004/2005 season.
Dainty has repeatedly stated his desire to step down as chairman, but has reluctantly agreed to stay at the helm until a replacement can be found.
