Tonbridge Angels 0 Staines Town 3

TONBRIDGE Angels paid the price for three defensive mistakes as they suffered a 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Staines Town.

Angels played some attractive football for the first 20 minutes and nearly took the lead after 10 minutes but were denied by the post.

A defensive mix-up between debutant Gavin Rose and Danny Lye after 37 minutes allowed Elliot Onochie to nip in and he took full advantage to put the visitors ahead.

Angels continued to dominate possession in the second period, but another sloppy piece of defending gave Gavin Tomlin the chance to double Staines’ advantage.

And Tomlin made sure of the points from the penalty spot with 11 minutes remaining after Staines had foiled another Angels attack and broken away.
