Almost three decades ago, T’Pau’s first single Heart and Soul was released in 1987.

Go West are currently celebrating the 30th anniversary of their first hit single We Close Our Eyes, and it has been just over 30 years since Nik Kershaw first achieved chart success, with his legendary hit Wouldn’t It Be Good.

The single was released in 1984 and reached No.4 in the UK Singles Chart.

“I still get a huge buzz banging out those opening guitar chords of Wouldn’t It Be Good,” said Nik. “The buzz could be a faulty guitar lead, though”.

As well as being a well known singer, Nik Kershaw also penned singles for other artists, most notably the No.1 hit The One and Only for Chesney Hawkes. Other artists he has written for include Lulu, Jason Donovan and The Hollies.

This triple headline act is a must see as there is just one remaining date left for this year.

Playing their best hits, The Icons Of The 80s tour will be at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury on Sunday, September 25. For further details, visit marlowetheatre.com or call 01227 787787.
