'Starving' dog found tied to gate in Church Lane, Seasalter near Whitstable

Information is being sought about the owner of a "starving" dog found tied up to a gate outside a house near Whitstable.

Annie Russell-Brooks, 24, found the animal outside her home in Church Lane, Seasalter, at about 8am today.

The abandoned pet - thought to be female - had been left outside in freezing conditions.

"She was starving so god knows how long she’s been there," Ms Russell-Brooks explained.

"She's such a lovely girl, loves a cuddle. She just wants to be loved, bless her.

"She looked so happy just to have a bit of affection."

The dog has now taken to Whitstable Bay Veterinary Centre in Clapham Hill, where vets are trying to track down its owner.
