Neil Cugley says his Folkestone side won’t change their open style for the daunting trip to leaders Bognor Regis on Saturday, despite being undone by their attacking focus last weekend.

Invicta suffered their second 3-2 defeat of the season against Ramsgate at the Buzzlines on Saturday, caught on the break in stoppage-time as they sought a winner.

Boss Cugley (pictured) said: "I chased the game at 2-2, we had some good chances and could have won it, but Ramsgate play good counter-attacking football and we got caught.

"When you play open and attacking like we do then these things happen, and we’re not going to change now.

"It’s disappointing to lose of course, but we go out there to enjoy it and play good football and you have to accept it is going to happen sometimes."

Bognor and Invicta are the top two scorers in Ryman League Division 1 South and Cugley said: "They are the best side in the league as far as I’m concerned and I think they have always been favourites to win it.

"It should be a really good game, it’s a lovely surface down there and it should be a good test for us."

Roland Edge is likely to start the game, with Cugley explaining: "He’s come off the bench lately, but his experience will be useful."

Despite seeing his side slip out of the play-off places, down to sixth, and 13 points behind leaders Bognor, Cugley insisted there was still all to play for in the final 11 games of the season.

He said: "We’ve still got to play a lot of the other teams up there, and we’ve got games in hand on some of them. It is very tight, but we’ll keep going."
