Mother and baby released from hospital after A28 Bilting crash

A mother and her 18-month-old baby have been released from hospital following a crash on the A28 yesterday.

A man was seriously injured and had to be cut free from the wreckage of his car after the smash at Bilting. He remains in William Harvey Hospital after sustaining a serious head injury

It happened just after 7.20am and involved a Toyota Corrolla and Ford Fiesta.

The crash caused significant congestion and diversions were put in place.
