Crash causes tailbacks on M20

A crash involving several vehicles caused long tailbacks on the M20.

Kent Police were called at 7.30am to the accident between junctions 9 and 8 on the London bound carriageway.

Two lanes were closed causing queues lasting more than an hour at its worst, with tailbacks stretching nine miles.

All lanes have been reopened after the vehicles were recovered and traffic conditions have returned to normal.

Police and ambulance crews were at the scene, where four vehicles are believed to have been involved in a collision.

No one is thought to have been seriously injured.
