Traffic builds up in Ashford after coach crashes on M20, near junction 10, and another breaks down on A2070

A coach driver was taken to hospital this morning following a crash on the M20.

Police were called to the coastbound carriageway of the motorway, near junction 10, at 8.40am following a report a coach had collided with the central reservation.

A witness reported seeing passengers from the coach standing on the side of the carriageway.

The driver was taken to hospital, although the extent of his injuries are not yet known.

A couple of passengers also reported minor pains, but no other serious injuries were reported.

Traffic built up in the area surrounding the exit to the motorway at junction 10 and Stagecoach bus company also reported that the incident caused delays to its service.

A second incident, also involving a coach, was also reported to Kent Police this morning.

The vehicle broke down on the A2070, close to the roundabout for junction 10 of the M20.

Police cordoned off one lane of the roundabout at around 8am so that the vehicle could be cleared, which caused congestion in the area.

The lane re-opened at around 10am.
