Plans for a supermarket and 1,000 homes on Ashford’s former Powergen site are back on the agenda.
The application to redevelop the land, at Victoria Road, Ashford, will go before the borough council’s planning committee next Wednesday .
Outline planning permission was granted in July 2008 after the council had previously turned it down and the developers went to appeal.
Now councillors will look at phase one of the application, comprising details of appearance, landscaping and scale for the food store, other retail uses and car parking.
Officers are now recommending approval of this part, saying the scale, appearance and landscaping of the development is acceptable.
